William Wall Obituary

Mr. William Thomas Wall, 85, Rockingham, son of the late Doon Bitter and
Martha Ann Diggs was born February 16, 1936 in
Chesterfield, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by
his wife, Nezzie “Nancy” Wall, his only son, William Darin
Wall, and his parents.
William was employed with Del Monte Company in New
Jersey was a truck/fork life operator until he relocated and
moved to North Carolina. He was known as “Pro” by his
family. He loved watching his western shows and Channel 9
News.
On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, William Thomas Wall heard his
Heavenly Father calling him to come home after months of
declining health.
He leaves to cherish his memories: five children, Brenda Wall
of Marshville, North Carolina, Margie V. Wall (Vandor
Quaries) of Wadesboro, North Carolina, Dwans Rorie
(Parnell Tillman) of Rockingham, North Carolina, the late
William Darin Wall (Joy Pitts-Wall) of Houston, Texas and
Miesha Lilly of Camden, New Jersey; twelve grandchildren;
sixteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Irene Lindsey of
Camden, New Jersey, Christine Diggs of Bronx, New York,
Ollie Williams of Laurinburg, North Carolina and Loma
Diggs of Hampton, Virginia; two brothers, Joseph Diggs
(Addie Jane) of Laurinburg, North Carolina and James Diggs
(Connie) of Denver, Colorado; four sisters-in-law, Margie
James (Winston) of Wadesboro, North Carolina, Bessie
Johnson and Clarice Sturdivant of Morven, North Carolina
and Sara Newkirk of Bridgeport, Connecticut; one brother-
in-law, George Rorie of Charlotte, North Carolina; a very
special good friend, Christine Baldwin; and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends
