Obituary

Roosevelt "Chuck" Goodwin was born on August 17, 1951 in Scotland County, North Carolina to the late Jesse and Blanche Goodwin. Roosevelt "Chuck" Goodwin was summoned into God's presence on Friday, September 25, 2020.

He grew up in Hamlet, North Carolina and at an early age he moved to Fayetteville, NC. He joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in 1987.

Roosevelt "Chuck" Goodwin is survived by: his wife, Mary Goodwin of Laurel Hill, NC; five children, Tommy Morrison (Christina) of Rockingham, NC, Keishua Goodwin-Reid (Arthur) of Laurel Hill, NC, Kayonna Goodwin-Pollard of Laurel Hill, NC, Roosevelt Goodwin (Candace) of Laurinburg, NC, Tommy L. Morrison, Jr. of Ellerbe, NC; six sisters, Verlene Goodwin Smith of Charlotte, NC, Margie Ingram of Rockingham, NC, Cynthia York, Kirsha Goodwin and Jackie Goodwin, all of Hamlet, NC, Marsha Dockery of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Robert Dockery (Shirley) of Winston-Salem, NC and Charles Goodwin of Charlotte, NC; two sisters-in-law, Verlene Goodwin of Laurinburg, Nc and Melissa Dockery of Winston-Salem, NC; nineteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Precededing him in death were: his parents, Jessie and Blanche Goodwin; four brothers, Rev. Robert L. Goodwin, James O. Goodwin, Jessie L. Goodwin and James Dockery; and a sister, Carol L. Goodwin.
