Richard Wayne Lamonds, Jr., 46, Rockingham, passed on Thursday, March 16, 2023.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Outreach for Jesus, 440 Battley Dairy Road, Hamlet, NC  28345.  

Obituary

Richard Wayne Lamonds, Jr., affectionately known by

his family as “Richie”, was born in Pinehurst, North

Carolina on October 7, 1976.

Richard first aended school in Moore County and

later moved to Richmond County, North Carolina

where he then attended Richmond Community

College.

Richard was a hardworking man; he worked in brick

masonry and loved helping out around his church,

“Outreach for Jesus.”

Richard loved listening to music, wrestling, football

and helping others. He had a generous heart, always

made you laugh and was an all around fun-loving

person.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah

Ann Smith.

Richard leaves to cherish his memories: his father,

Richard Lamonds, Sr.; two sisters, Edwina Lamonds

(Windy) and Dana Lamonds; his stepmother, Jeanette

Worszylo; his aunt, Beverly; three surviving uncles;

nine cousins; and a host of friends.

Richard loved the Lord. He spoke highly of the Lord

and often.
