Rhonda M. Taylor, 48, Rockingham, NC, passed on Sunday, June 15, 2025.  A Memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in the Chapel at Nelson Funeral Home, 1021 E. Washington Street, Rockingham, NC  28379.

Honoring the Memory of Rhonda “Michelle” Taylor, affectionately known as Chelle, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Michelle departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and light that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.

Raised in San Diego, California, to Darnell Taylor and the late Rhonda Parsons, Michelle later relocated to Richmond County, North Carolina, where she was lovingly embraced by the community she grew to call home. From an early age, it was clear that Michelle had a special gift—her gentle spirit and radiant smile could brighten any room, and her warm heart made her a friend to everyone she met. She truly never met a stranger.

Family was the cornerstone of Michelle’s life. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and found immense joy in being a mother and grandmother. Music was one of her passions, and she often used it to create joyful memories with those around her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted children: Chris (Nina) Taylor, Marcus Taylor, Jaylan Taylor, and Jahnya Taylor, all of Rockingham, NC; her loving siblings: Cody Mabe, Yancy Mabe, Autumn Mabe, and Annabelle Mabe; her cherished grandmother Peggie Jolly of Greenville, SC; and her adored grandchildren: Allison, Chloe, Brooke, Gabriella, William, Melody, Ariyanna, Jayce, and Zenith. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Michelle’s life was a testament to kindness, strength, and unconditional love. While our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing her light will continue to guide us.
