Obituary
Charles Romeo Jones, Jr., son of Louella Rose Jones and the late Charles Romeo Jones, Sr., departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Richmond County Hospice Haven with his devoted and loving Mother at his side.
Romeo, Jr. was born on February 11, 1969 and educated here in Richmond County. He had a passion for music and taught himself to play the keyboard. He played for several churches and groups over the years. His tenure with the Mighty Swann Jubilees was an endeavor that he often talked about after his accident. That accident left him a quadriplegic and he could no longer play the keyboard. These are memories that were and will be forever etched on the tables of our hearts.
Romeo Jr., was preceded in death by his father, Charles Romeo Jones, Sr. and his sister, Shari Melton Barnes.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Louella; two sisters, Mia and Joy; one brother, Prince Romeo; three aunts, Reka, Thomasina and Tina; six uncles, Alphonzo, Ellery, Emmanuel (Tina), Joseph (Claire), Tim (Joy), Travis (Dawn); five nieces, Audria, Eboni, Tameka, Joy Rice and Kimmora; six nephews, Marcus, Terrance, Walter (Tia), Isaiah, Derrick and Jayden; nineteen great nieces and nephews who were very dear to his heart; his Rose Family, Melton Family and Bennett Family; and a host of other relatives and friends.
We all should and will take comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
