Michael Thomas Poplin, 64, of Rockingham, NC passed away on March 17, 2025, at Atrium Cabarrus Hospital in Concord, NC. 

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Allan M. and Willie (Broome) Poplin.

 In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his son James Wallace, his brother, Allan R. Poplin, and his canine Companion, "Tiger".

Michael enjoyed many years of employment at Wal-Mart in Rockingham, NC.  In his final years of life, Michael resided with his daughter, Susan Hope Martin, her husband Lance and their children, Allie, Allen, and Ava Martin where he enjoyed the life he had there as his life was his children and grandchildren.  He loved family time, interacting with the grandchildren, and watching his beloved Philadelphia Eagles football games - "GO BIRDS".

Michael is survived by his daughters, Susan Hope Martin (Lance), Sarah Wallace, grandchildren, Allie Martin, Allen Martin, Ava Martin, Joshua Wallace, Tavon Wallace, Kayleigh Nelson, great-grand daughter Serenity Wallace, Special friend, Janet Poplin, Sister Linda Thetford of Henderson, NC and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
