Mary Parsons Obituary

Mary Ruth "Ma Boot"  Allen Parsons,
On Friday morning, May 7, 2021 in Union County God saw one of his
angels growing tired and he reached out to her “Come on home, my
sweet child.” Mary was fondly known as “Ma Boot” and was loved by all.
She was born May 6, 1950 in Lilesville, NC, the daughter of the late
Curtis Allen, her twin and Annie Bell Watson Allen.
She attended Bowman Sr. High Class of 1966. She loved class and was so
excited about attending their class reunion. In her youth, she attended
Henry Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Lilesville where she often
shared with her daughter, grands and others what a time she had. She
later attended Lemuel Community Life Redeeming Ministry in Morven
where her pastor was Rev. Sylvester Bennett and 1st Lady Brenda
Bennett. She loved her church families.
Mary gave birth to her one and only child, Lydia (Lavone) on July 7, 1966
and was overly protective of her baby girl. She later became
grandmother to the love of her life and her King, Quinton and
granddaughter Keisha. She loved her family and friends passionately
and would always make time for anyone. Mary was known for being one
of the best hairdressers and your curls would last for days. We will truly
miss that fried chicken, her greens and potato salad.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Curtis Allen; mother, Annie
Bell Watson; sister, Diane Allen; and her baby sister, Willie Senra Allen.
