Lynn Mitchum Obituary

Lynn Beck Mitchum, 66, Rockingham, passed Thursday, September 16, 2021. Lynn was born on June 3, 1955 to Grady Worth Beck and Lucy Jerita Bullard in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Lynn is survived by two sisters Tricia Beck of Hendersonville, NC and Janet Smithey of Wilmington, NC. Lynn was an avid reader of all kinds of books. Lynn was married to and cared for her husband Buck Mitchum for many years after his stroke, and became pen pals with many other caregivers. Lynn worked in housekeeping at Sandhills Regional Medical Center. No public service is planned, as her family will memorialize her in private at a later date. Nelson Funeral Service is serving the family.
