To the Goins and Smart families:  You have our deepest sympathy. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers because we share your loss. If all neighbors were like Mrs. Lorrie Mack, the world would be a much better place. It is with sad hearts, when we look across the street and realize that she is no longer there. We miss her so much! And as time goes by, we will miss her even more. We will miss seeing her outside sweeping her driveway, raking straw under her pine trees, driving slowly through the neighborhood ( in the pickup truck that Clift left her ), stopping at the mailbox to pick up her mail, and the beautiful flowers she would put on her front steps to celebrate special occasions. We could look out on any Sunday morning and see her leaving for Shiloh Baptist Church in Bennettsville, South Carolina. She would drive her CAR to church. Mrs. Lorrie Smart Mack was a beautiful, loving, caring, and generous person. May she forever rest in peace. And may God continue to bless and comfort you during this sad and difficult time.

So very sorry for the loss of Mrs. Mack.  I met Mrs. Mack several years ago through the Richmond County Branch NAACP.  She always had a smile on her face and I don't think she ever had a bad day.  My sister Hettie Little, who lives in Raleigh, made pillows for her with her Alma mater on them.  She gave them as gifts.  She was a giving and loving lady!

Mrs. Mack was a very lovely and caring person. I met her during the Imperial disaster at a times when our hearts were heavy from the lives lost in that situation. May her family find peace and comfort at this time in the Lord Jesus Christ.
