It's with great sadness for the family to announce James (Jimmy) R Heavner Sr. passed away peacefully in the night of February 7, 2025, at the young age of 82. 

James (Jimmy) was loved by so many, and he cherished every person in his life, he always greeted his loved ones with a warm hug & I loved you with a smile.  

Jimmy never worked a day because he loved what he did every day of his life.  He was a Transport Operator (Truck Driver) that traveled across the USA for approximately 60 years making sure to sample good food, make new friends and bring happiness to all those he met along the way.  He truly loved his job and looked forward to the travels & adventures that laid ahead for him. 
Upon his retirement he spent his days with family & friends sharing his stories of his travel & experiences, he enjoyed his days fishing and hanging out over lunch with friends at the famous Burger King of Rockingham.

Jimmy will forever be loved & remembered for his compassion, humor and generous heart, his absence will be felt by all those who knew & loved him. 

He was preceeded in death by his beloved daughter Carol Annett Hudson, Grandson James Michael Heavner, Mother of his children, former wife & friend Carol June Cagle of Rockingham,  Wife & friend Sandra Williams Heavner of Georgia.

He is survived by his Daughter Kimberly Dawn Heavner of Rockingham, Son & Daughter in law, James (Bobby) & April Heavner of Rockingham, Son & Daughter in-law Timothy & Zondra Williams of Georgia. Grandchildren, Brian Heavner, Cody Ezzel,  Travis & Shana Heavner, Amanda & Jack Walker. Daniel Williams, Great Grandchildren, Hayden Heavner, Amelia & Amara Thornton. 

Thank you to all who have reached out to comfort the family during this grief-stricken time.
