Gloria Carter

Ms. Gloria Carter, was born on September 19, 1949 to the late Henry L. and Bessie M. Kirkland Carter.  She departed this life on January 7, 2021 at UNC in Chapel Hill, NC.

She was a graduate of Monroe Avenue High School.  At an early age, Gloria accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She was a member and attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed.

Gloria was outgoing and love life.  She was a loving mother, sister and friend.

She leaves to cherish fond memories:  her four children, Nicole Bailey (Rodney) of Richmond, VA; Kelvin L. Carter (Altriese) of Gastonia, NC, Corey Carter of Detroit, MI and Brian Carter (Bridgett) of Hamlet, NC; a loving sister, Elois Bailey (Fred) of Hamlet, NC; loving brothers, Henry Carter (Lola) of Sumter, SC, Michael Carter, Larry Carter and Glenn Carter (Edith Ann) all of Hamlet, NC; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a special friend, Eula Grant of Laurel Hill, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
