Obituary
Geraldine Elaine Oliveras, 67, of Rockingham, North Carolina departed this life on September 26, 2020 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Plumer Mae Keane. "Big Geri", as she was affectionately known, was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The family relocated to Long Branch, New Jersey early on in life. She attended Long Branch public schools. After high school, she became a bartender.
Before relocating back to North Carolina, she married Mario Oliveras, Jr. The two of them together raised a family and spent thirty years together. While living in North Carolina, she worked at Perdue Farms for over twenty years before she retired.
"Big Geri" was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother, Harold Clark.
She leaves to mourn her precious memory: her children, Tina (Milo) Blake, Geri (Ron) Keane, Maria Oliveras and Angel (Charles) Nelsonl all of Rockingham, North Carolina and Tina Rivera and Mario Oliveras, III of Long Beach, New Jersey; her grandchildren, Timmy, Anthony, Kevin, Kivana, Jaida, Michael, Nicholas, Zion Nelson, Marcus, Jarrell, Allysa, Natalie, Novian, Antoinette, Neveah, Masier, and Goddrick; her siblings, Joey (Roxanne) Keane, Mary (Ray) McDonald of Rockingham, NC and Helen (Danny) Walker of Myrtle Beach, SC; a special friend of twenty years, Calvin McDonald; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
