Eric Scott Dent, 35, Hamlet, NC passed on Saturday, June 3, 2023.  Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at The Dent Memorial, 122 Blacksmoke Drive, Hamlet, NC  28345.  Public Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 1021 E. Washington Street Rockingham, NC  28379.  Repast will follow the service with family and friends at 172 Meadow Lane, Hamlet, NC  28345.  Nelson Funeral Service is serving the family.

Eric Scott Dent of Hamlet, North Carolina was born on July 7, 1987, to Harvey Scott Dent and Donna Hedgcoe. He was taken home too soon on June 3, 2023, at the age of 35.

Eric loved to Fish, travel to the beach and being outside with nature. He was a professional painter by trade.

Left to cherish his loving memories are: two children, Christopher Grey and Calyb Claud Dent; his parents, Harvey Scott Dent and Donna Hedgcoe; his brothers, Dale Hedgcoe and Michael Allen Rush; and a host of other relatives and friends.
