Eric Meguil Arant

Eric Meguil Arant, 58, Rockingham, passed on Thursday, December 23, 2021.  Funeral will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 517 Baldwin Ave. Charlotte, NC  28204. with a Quiet Hour from 11:00 a.m. until 12 p.m.  Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2021, 12- 4p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, 1021 E. Washington St. Rockingham, NC 28379.  Nelson Funeral Service is serving the family.

Obituary

Eric Meguil Arant, the son of the late Hazel and Evelyn Arant, was born on October 29, 1963 at Charlotte Memorial Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. He departed this life on December 23, 2021. He had two sisters who preceded him in passing; Sybil Arant and Vicky Arant.            

      Eric earned his General Education Diploma and a Certificate in food services at South Piedmont Community College in Polkton, N.C. At the same school he earned 138 credits in Brick Masonry. In 2009 Eric started working at Perdue Farms in Rockingham, N.C. He worked there faithfully until a decline in his health in 2019.                                                                                                                  Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Patricia Arant currently of Rockingham, N.C. One brother in-law, Jeffrey Burch of Charlotte, N.C. Six nieces and nephews: Desmond Arant, Sybil Denaelyn Arant, and Ali Arant, all of Charlotte, N.C. Louis Arant (Keyerra) of Fort Mill, N.C. La'Risha Hawks (Kermit) of Texas and Jeffrey Gill of Atlanta. He has a total of eight great- nieces and nephews and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
