Edna Jean McKenzie Jordan, 84 of Rockingham died Saturday, March 5th, 2022.
Edna "Jean" as she was known to family and friends, was born in Rockingham and lived most of her life here. She was a lifetime member of Cameronian Presbyterian Church and was active until she became ill.
She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Kim Jordan Cowell of Rockingham, Melissa "Lisa" Jordan Glover (Randy) of Wilson, Hope Jordan of Rockingham, Franklin Jordan, Jr. (Wendy) of Rockingham. Five grandchildren, Virginia "Jenny" Nichols (Joe), Victor Jordan Cowell "VJ (Ashia), Mathew Arron Glover, Jacob Thomas Glover, Noah Cole Jordan. Five great-grandchildren, Joseph Nichols, Layla Nichols, Jaxon Cowell, Alyza Cowell, Anora Cowell. Three step-grandchildren, Jessica Knight, Corina Grey, Katherine Cowell and eleven step-great grandchildren. Brother-in-law Birchel Lee McNeely.
Jean is reunited in death with Franklin Jordan, Sr. her husband of 41 years, parents Mack Cecil McKenzie, Sr. and Maie McCaskill McKenzie. Sisters Lois Snead and Frances McNeely. Brothers Mack Cecil McKenzie, Jr. "MC" and Jesse McKenzie.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, March 12th, 2022 at 1:30pm at Cameronian Presbyterian Church in Rockingham, NC.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Cameronian Presbyterian Church or to the Gideons.
