Bennie Allen, 78, Wadesboro, passed on Thursday, December 9, 2021.  Funeral will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Believers Christian Center, 925 South Main Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina with a burial following the service at Westview Memorial Park, 623 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Public Viewing will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, 12-5pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 1021 E. Washington Street, Rockingham, NC.


Bennie Allen, son of the late Roy Allen and Lessie Mae Ashe, was born March 25, 1943 in Oxford, North Carolina.  He departed this life on December 9, 2021.

He was a long time resident of Newark, New Jersey and attended public school there as well.  He received Christ at an early age and had been faithful until death.

In 1964 he was united in Holy matrimony to the late Irene Allen.  God blessed their union with two sons.  He enjoyed the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He attended church at Believers Christian Center of Wadesboro, NC under the leadership of Pastor Michael Chambers, Sr. Bennie left his family with many sweet memories.  We believe we will be reunited with him in Heaven. 

Mr. Bennie Allen leaves to forever cherish his memories:  his son, Vincent Allen (one son, Eugene Allen, preceded him in death); his sisters and brothers; two grandchildren, Illisha Lear and Bianca Buchannon; six great-grandchildren, Trinity Liles, Ka'ziya Buchannon, Gabriel Lear, Rickie Kennedy, Jr., Layah King and Elias Lear; bonus grandchildren, Keeneeshia Ingram and Moniquah Ingram; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
