Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our mother Mrs. Agnes S. Larsen. She passed away in her home with her family by her side on Thursday, February 6th following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Mrs. Larsen of Southern Pines, N. C. formally of Rockingham, North Carolina was a retired nurse with more than 40 years of service where she dedicated herself to serving her community. The last years of her nursing career were spent as a Public Health Nurse at the Richmond County Health Department.

Mom was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She found her greatest joy on the beaches of North Carolina, working in her garden, carrying for her family, and volunteering her time in various church ministries within our community. Her life was characterized by acts of kindness and generosity, always providing for those around her. Never prioritizing her own needs.

Mrs. Larsen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 21 years, Harry Dennis Larsen. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Susan Wheeler of Southern Pines, N.C., and Patti Peele (Wayne) of Laurel Hill, N.C.; grandchildren Kristy Katekovich (Danny) of Laurel Hill, N.C. and Andrew Wheeler (Danielle) of Southern Pines, N.C. and great grandchildren Caleb, Alyssa and Kruz Katekovich; Samuel and Sophia Wheeler.

A private memorial service will be held for the family.
